Coverage provided by each limit
In Pennsylvania, the minimum liability coverage is 15/30/5. It provides $15,000 per injured person and $30,000 for all injured people in one crash. The limit for damage to another person's property is $5,000.
These limits often don't cover the full cost of medical bills or a newer car. Amounts above those limits may be claimed against you, so many drivers purchase 100/300/100 coverage instead. A liability policy in Pennsylvania averages $617 a year.
Driving with no insurance
Drive uninsured in Pennsylvania and you risk losing your license and registration. Getting them back may mean filing proof of insurance for several years.
