What the numbers cover
At least 25/50/25 liability coverage is required in Kentucky. The limits are $25,000 per injured person and $50,000 for injuries sustained in one crash. Coverage also pays up to $25,000 for property damage caused to other people.
Medical bills and the cost of a newer car often exceed these limits. You may face claims for any amount above them, so many drivers choose 100/300/100 instead. The average liability policy in Kentucky costs $673 a year.
Driving without insurance
In Kentucky, driving without insurance may cost you your license and registration. To recover them, you may need to submit proof of insurance for several years.
