What the limits cover
Idaho sets 25/50/15 as the minimum liability limits. These include $25,000 per person hurt and $50,000 for all people hurt in one crash, plus $15,000 for other people's property damage.
Medical bills and the cost of a newer car often exceed these limits. Costs above the limits can be claimed from you, which is why many drivers choose 100/300/100 coverage. The average annual cost for a liability policy in Idaho is $519.
Driving without insurance
Your license and registration can be taken away if you drive uninsured in Idaho. Restoring your license and registration may require proof of insurance for several years.
