What the numbers pay for
Liability coverage of at least 25/50/25 is what Nebraska requires. Each person hurt is covered for $25,000, everyone hurt in a single crash for $50,000 and damage to other people's property for $25,000.
These limits often fall short of medical bills and the cost of a newer car. Any amount above those limits can be claimed from you. Because of that, many drivers buy 100/300/100 instead. The average liability policy in Nebraska costs $546 a year.
If you drive with no insurance
In Nebraska, driving uninsured can cost you your license and registration. Getting them back may require you to file proof of insurance for a period of several years.
