What the insurance limits pay for
The minimum liability limits in Delaware are 25/50/10. These limits cover each person hurt for $25,000, everyone hurt in one crash for $50,000 and damage to other people's property for $10,000.
These limits often don't cover the full cost of medical bills or a newer car. Costs beyond those limits can be claimed from you. Many drivers therefore buy 100/300/100 instead. In Delaware, a liability policy averages $1,045 each year.
Driving uninsured
If you drive uninsured in Delaware, it can cost you your license and registration. Regaining your license and registration may require filing proof of insurance for several years.
